Letter from the Founder
Our work is all about people and relationships. We are grateful to have some of the top talent in our industry who work hard every day to achieve our clients’ goals. We now represent candidates and organizations across the country and in a variety of industries, and are humbled by the consistent faith they put in our work and counsel. In 2022, we re-branded ourselves Threshold Group. Each of us is working towards a threshold, where we know that just beyond lies a desired effect and victory can present itself. It’s about crossing the divide, no matter what the resistance, and taking a campaign or project from good to great. Onward!
Tucker Green
Founder and President
Tucker graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in History. His first job was on the presidential campaign of Vermont Governor Howard Dean in 2003. He has led Threshold Group since its founding in 2011, working for candidates and organizations across the country. Tucker serves on the board of directors of the Phoenix House of New York/Long Island helping to heal individuals from substance use disorders. In his free time, he enjoys fly fishing and exploring the great outdoors. He resides in Westport, Connecticut with his wife and three young sons.
Michael Kenney
Partner
Michael graduated from Macalester College. He leads several of the fundraising teams at the firm and is responsible for managing the firm’s finances. When not tracking invoices or calling donors, Michael enjoys grilling and following chess tournaments. He lives in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn with his wife Sekar.
Max Kramer
Partner
Max graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Political Science and Economics. He leads Threshold’s advertising and paid media arm in the political, nonprofit, and corporate sectors. He enjoys spending time with his family and traveling when he’s not stuck behind a computer writing ads and direct mail. Max lives in Bellmore on Long Island with his wife Ashley, their son Eli, and their Havanese-Poodle Zoe.
Benjamin Allen
Creative Director
Ben graduated from SCSU. He works as our head of video production, directing and editing over 100 videos for non-profit, political, and business clients. In addition to video production, Ben works on digital, television advertising, and paid media strategy for our clients in the tri-state area. He lives in Connecticut with his wife, Kristen, and their two daughters. When not behind the camera or spending time with his family, Ben enjoys playing guitar, and searching for deals on Criterion Collection films.
Andy McIndoo
Managing Director
Andy attended the University of St Andrews for his Bachelors and the London School of Economics for his Masters. He works on advertising and paid media for political and nonprofit clients in Connecticut and New York. When he’s not working, Andy spends time learning Italian and complaining about plot holes in movies and TV shows. He lives in Cobble Hill with his girlfriend Maria.
Adam Hornbuckle
Director
Adam is a Long Island native who graduated from LIU Post with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He works on advertising and paid media for clients throughout New York State, and has a background in government. In his spare time, Adam can be found rooting for Manchester United and the New York Rangers. Adam lives in Glen Cove.
Chris Avitabile
Senior Associate
Chris graduated from the University of Florida with his undergraduate degree, and received his Masters in Public Policy from Stony Brook University. He works on fundraising for political clients in New York, with a focus on Long Island. Aside from fundraising, Chris enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family. Chris is a native of Long Island, New York, where he currently lives.
Keren Gekker
Senior Associate
Keren graduated from Fordham University Rose Hill with a degree in International Political Economy and minors in Marketing and Russian. Prior to joining the firm, Keren led youth voter outreach programs for candidates on the state and federal level in her hometown Chicago. In New York, Keren worked as a finance fellow for Andrew Gounardes for State Senate as well as a finance and digital director for a youth-organized PAC. She currently lives in Bushwick.
Trevor Lystad
Senior Associate
Trevor graduated from Northwestern University in 2020 with degrees in Social Policy and Political Science, and his political career began on Rep. Jamie Raskin’s first Congressional campaign. He spent the 2022 campaign cycle analyzing ad spending for Governor, Congressional and local campaigns across the country. Trevor grew up in Maryland and now lives in Brooklyn, and he spends all of his free time watching Survivor.
Jenny Nguyen
Associate
Jenny graduated from Fordham University Lincoln Center with a degree in International Political Economy and Urban Studies with a minor in Italian. She transitioned from field organizing to fundraising after a successful fellowship working with multiple candidate clients. After work, she enjoys playing video games with her family and trying new restaurants. She currently lives in her hometown of the Bronx.
